Meet the maker MasayaCo
Furniture brand MasayaCo embodies end-to-end sustainability in its responsibly harvested wood furniture. Founded initially as a reforestation project in Managua, Nicaragua, MasayaCo later grew into a sustainable furniture brand dedicated to timeless design, artisan craftsmanship, and sustainability of our planet’s resources. For every product sold, they plant 100 trees in Nicaragua to help combat deforestation and clear-cutting in the region. To date, MayasaCo has planted more than 1 million trees and currently employs 350 designers, architects, and artisans to bring these heirloom-quality pieces to life. A team of architects, furniture designers and artisan craftspeople handcraft each product. They dry all the hardwood used in their products in on-site solar kilns at their facility in Managua, Nicaragua.
