These simple yet durable Iringa baskets are hand woven by women in rural Tanzania. Made with Milulu grass, these baskets have a natural texture accented by interwoven pops of color. These baskets are versatile and stylish, providing storage throughout your home or office.

Milulu grass reeds can be harvested carefully from the marsh without removing the entire plant, dried in the sun, dyed with natural dyes, and split for weaving. The closeness to the earth of both maker and product gives these beautifully crafted baskets widespread appeal.

*By law, containers shipped from Africa are fumigated. Other than the fumigation process, the fibers are not treated with any other chemicals.

Care: You can shape your basket by wetting the straw and shaping the basket with your hands, then allowing it to dry.
