These mini versions of the original painted tin animals are made from recycled soda and beer cans. They will stand on their own, but can also be hung.

The giraffe is a graceful animal whose long neck represents the ability to be visionary while still viewing the past and present. The heart of the giraffe is large. In some African traditions, a giraffe symbol is taken to every meeting to assure that the understandings of the heart are addressed as well as the understandings of the head. The giraffe uses strength and flexibility to align the physical, mental and spiritual faculties of all situations.

Mbare’s gorgeous African home decor uses natural and recycled materials. Artisans hand weave each basket using traditional weaving techniques passed down from generation to generation. Mbare’s glassware consists of 100% recycled glass melted down and reshaped into incredible drinkware. Mbare pays living wages to all artisan partners, financially supports more than 2,000 artisans, and adheres to fair trade practices. The majority of Mbare’s artisan partners are fair trade certified.
