This Klah Klahne (Three Sisters) Portrait is crafted by hand using a combination of detailed appliqué, embroidery and hand quilting to bring dimension to each sister mountain.

Klah Klahne, or the Three Sisters, are closely spaced volcanic peaks near Bend, in Central Oregon. As told by Native oral history, Klah Klahne was one the largest and tallest of the Cascade Mountains before becoming the three peaks we see today. Haptic Lab acknowledges the sovereignty of the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Northern Paiute people who have inhabited this area since time immemorial and are the original stewards of this land.

This is a wall hanging. Hanging sleeves are included with all Mountain Portraits for easy display:  Everest (Chomolungma)Denali, and Mount Rainer (Tahoma).

Care: For best care, use upholstery brush and vacuum on a gentle setting.
