lowercase toys makes developmentally appropriate, open-ended learning toys that promote problem solving, collaborative play, and creativity. Owner and founder Brenna Davis MS, CCC-SLP, is a nationally accredited Speech Language Pathologist who launched lowercase toys in June 2018. To sustainably provide educational, activity, and play resources for parents and educators, Davis designs and creates each toy using felt that’s manufactured from recycled water bottles. All felt off-cuts and non-producible scraps are also donated to maker spaces at local middle schools to promote zero-waste production methods. Furthering their environmentally conscious business practices, lowercase toys eliminated all first- and single-use plastic across products and packaging. All toys are manufactured in-house at their studio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they work closely with local, Milwaukee-based businesses for their die-cutting and printing.
