Maadili Collective is a Fair Trade, women-owned small business striving to support heritage crafts with simple and sustainable supply chains. They work directly with small-scale artisan communities where economic opportunities are limited or non-existent in Uganda and Zambia. These cooperatives provide employment and training for disadvantaged or marginalized communities — particularly widows, disabled individuals, and those living with HIV/AIDS. They make their ethically-produced woven baskets, home decor, and jewelry exclusively using sustainably and ethically sourced materials. Artisans create their handcrafted products using native plant species, ethically upcycled Ankole Horn, a byproduct of the beef industry, as well as 100% Ugandan-grown, rain-fed cotton from smallholder farms. Maadili Collective is a verified Social Enterprise with SEWF and a member of the Fair Trade Federation.
