Meet the maker Chilote
Meet the maker Chilote
Masterfully hand-knitted by women artisans in Patagonia, Chile, each pair of Chilote’s authentic, award-winning, sustainable wool slippers consists of 100% Patagonian sheep’s wool. Sustainability and adhering to ethical standards are at the heart of their mission. Chilote uses salmon leather, upcycled salmon skin from the fishing industry, as the sole of their slippers. Instead, each pair of slippers is slow-made in the homes of Patagonian women living in rural areas. Chilote’s lead artisans in Patagonia independently orchestrate their local network and production process to ensure a beautiful, quality product.
