Father-daughter Vik and Vizan Giri founded the company with the inspiration to create a product with a long-lasting positive environmental impact. Vik’s company — and Terra Thread’s parent company — is Gallant International, a certified B Corp that supplies businesses with sustainable products. Terra Thread’s backpacks and bags are made with Fair Trade and GOTS-certified organic cotton. Ensuring fair pay and safe working conditions, they produce all their products in Fair Trade certified factories. They’re also 100% carbon neutral, like Made Trade — they offset their carbon emissions by supporting either social impact projects, renewable energy, or reforestation.
